About me
My name is Liene.
I am certified Gestalt Therapist, finishing five year studies at Riga Gestalt Institute (RGI) and in adition - finishing course of Psychiatry and Psychopharmacology.
And active member of LGTA and at the moment taking new challange in collaboration with supervisor - leading Group Therapy at the RGI.
So far, I have lived my life in a pretty big race. Emigrating twice (2004-2008 USA, 2010-2013, UK), working hard, building a career, studying, traveling and most of the time living in a big "rat race".
I have been working in the field of marketing for many years in various positions, but since 2017 I have started new pass i my life and been studying psychotherapy and later practicing Psychotherapy (Gestalt Approach).
Therapy is not just my job - it is something that I love. This is my way of life and a matter of my heart.
Since I started learning therapy, I have not only become aware of a lot and learned to live differently, but I simply can no longer live like before.
The "rat race" seems to be slowing down. I try to live more consciously, get to know and love myself more, so that I can be better not only for myself, but for my family and the world.
I would also love to share my knowledge with you.
If you feel that this could be your new pass - I will be waiting for your message and hopefully talk to you soon!

I advise both young people and adults on various issues, here are some of them:
Anxiety
Anxiety is your body's natural response to stress. It is a feeling of fear or dread about what to expect. The first day of school, going to a job interview or giving a speech can cause fear and nervousness for most people.
Depression
Depression is a serious condition that affects a person's thinking, well-being and behaviour. Unlike normal sadness, clinical depression is persistent, often interferes with a person's ability to feel or anticipate pleasure, and significantly impairs functioning in daily life.
Relationships
Relationships - family relationships - with a spouse, parents or children. Relationships with co-workers, friends, acquaintances or neighbors. They can all be both - fun and challenging at times... When it gets hard and you can't cope, it's worth looking at what's interfering with the contact and how to deal with it.
Psychosomatic
Psychosomatic disorders are a psychological condition that leads to physical symptoms, usually without any other medical explanation or diagnosis. Psychosomatic disorders can affect almost any part of the body.
Trauma
Trauma is an emotional reaction to events such as an accident, rape, natural disaster, and more. There is shock and denial immediately after the event. Long-term reactions include unpredictable emotions, memories, tense relationships, and even physical symptoms such as headaches or nausea.
Panic attack
During a panic attack, the feeling of anxiety increases dramatically. The person experiences horror, usually a severe heart beat, rapid breathing, dizziness, nausea, tingling in the hands and feet. During a panic attack, a person feels that he will immediately die or become confused and lose control of his body and mind.
