What is Gestalt Therapy?
What will I receive as a client?
Gestalt therapist provides help to people who have problems solving various everyday issues in everyday life, family and professional development, as well as those who are in a crisis situation, etc.
In therapy, the main emphasis is placed on the awareness of human internal resources and environmental resources.
The process of change takes place through the promotion of a person's understanding of himself, his current state and the development of his potential.
The therapist acts as an equal interlocutor, a living independent personality who helps the other person find resources for change and development in themselves and their surroundings. The work is based on the principle of indivisibility, giving equal importance to human thoughts, feelings and body expressions.
The therapist purposefully works to develop the person's ability to make independent and responsible choices between a wide range of options. Special attention is paid to the development of creativity - the ability to respond creatively and adaptively to the situation.
I do my thing and you do your thing.
I am not in this world to live up to your expectations,
And you are not in this world to live up to mine.
You are you, and I am I,
and if by chance we find each other, it's beautiful.
If not, it can't be helped.
(Fritz Perls, "Gestalt Therapy Verbatim", 1969)
